• I can't figure this equation out:

I am trying to solve for x, but I can't seem to find an online calculator that will do it for me. How do I solve for x???

I know that if 260 was switched for 230, x would equal 2. But idk what x equals in this situation.

• Wait. I get it now. The sum of the infinite series is 115(1/(1-(1/x))).

So 115(1/1-(1/x))) = 260

1/(1-(1/x)) = 260/115

1 = (260/115)(1-(1/x))

1/(260/115) = 1-(1/x)

1/(260/115) - 1 = -1/x

(1/(269/115) -1)x = -1

x = -1/((1/(260/115) - 1))

x = (260/115) / ((260/115)-1)

x = 1.79310344828
